As an ex home brewer and craft beer enthusiast, I can say that I've never had better beer anywhere in the United States. The food is basic brewpub - fried food and sandwiches. Unfortunately not always very good fried food and sandwiches. Service is about average - sometimes good, sometimes not. If you are looking for really great beer and aren't expecting a gourmet meal, Placerville brewing is an excellent choice. Try the Hangtown Pale Ale. Avoid the fish sandwich.
