Any good box wines out there

Any good box wines out there

I was talking to Timmy and he posed a very good question...had I had any box wine? Being a bit of a wine snob, I had to admit that I had never experienced it. I did a little research and found that wineries are now packaging their same wines that are found on the shelf in 3L boxes. The box wines cost less since packaging is cheaper. Boxes are lined with a plastic vacuum sealed bag, and lasts about a month, compared to just a day or so for bottles. So I am leaving it up to you, who has had a good box wine they can reccommend to Timmy and myself? - 26th Jun, 2007

I bet more than half of people out there wouldn't know a good bordeaux from something that came from the box. Drink up people, relax and enjoy.

I have served Black Box Napa Valley Chardonnay at BBQ's and received no complaints. I'd recommend that one.

Yeah, there are some good ones out there. Jacobs Creek makes a nice one. I don't know if you will find an amazing one, but you will find drinkable stuff. There is another called three thieves that was pretty good. Hope this helps.

I haven't tried any yet, but I remember reading that the 3L category was doing really well according to Nielsen's. All I have seen in my wine shops is the one you posted. It reminds me of those boku drinks they had for kids in the 90's. So damn funny.
