I didn't mind holding the door open as I stood in line to get some of Texas's Best BBQ. I didn't mind drinking my beer that had warmed up as i held it for over twenty minutes wainting to eat. I didn't mind the folks in front of me that could make up their mind about the sides they wanted because I myself was waiting for that indecisive moment to hold up the line. As I stood at the counter looking up at the menu, I was easily distracted as the pit right behind the counter opeened up so that all who was in line could see the best piece of smoked meat...oh yeah I also have 2 Dos Equis(beer) After I got my food I smiled as I felt like a high schooler trying to find a seat on the picnic tables. Finding a seat was easy to do because I wore my Dallas Cowboys shirt and the game was about to come on and I had many guys raising their beer to salute the star that was on my shirt. It took me a while to get "sit-chi-ated" because I had to get a few napkins to wipe the sauce from my mouth, I also grab some jalepenos, onions pickles and more bread to get ready to chow down with. Well I got the ribs and a chop beef sandwich with thats right cream corn, potato salad and sadly the rudys beans (shudder). I went trhough six or seven ribs before I notice I didn't even add sauce yet but oh well. The funny thing about me is that I smiled and looked around to see if anyone else had the cream corn. Everything was good except the Rudys beans.....(still wondering why I got them). After some high fives as the Cowboys scored and repeat trips to get some water, I ended my expierence washing my hands in the sink that is position just outside the bathrooms and yes I was smiling and wondering if I should get some to go. |
