No Reservations host Anthony Bourdain characterizes Paula Deen as “The worst, most dangerous person to America who should think twice before telling an already obese nation that it’s OK to eat food that is killing us”
That Paula Deen is a confirmed diabetic is no longer shocking, but what IS shocking to a great many people is the unrepentant, flippant, and blithe manner in which Deen cheerfully views herself after deliberately deceiving millions of fans by pimping fried food so laden with fat, recipes come with instructions to call 911.
“Paula’s Brunch Burger”features a fried egg and bacon atop a burger served between glazed doughnuts instead of a bun.
Not only had Deen been lying to fans about having type 2 diabetes, but she allegedly kept her bosses at the Food Network in the dark.
The Daily notes when Deen’s cookbook for kids, “Lunch-Box Set,”was published in 2009, Barbara Walters asked her, “You tell kids to have cheesecake for breakfast. You tell them to have chocolate cake and meatloaf for lunch. And french fries. Doesn’t it bother you that you’re adding to this?”
