On Super Bowl Sunday, February 7, Chef Emeril Lagasse will host what he calls the ultimate tailgate party at his Miami Beach restaurant, Emeril’s Miami Beach. Chef Emeril’s ultimate tailgate party starts at 4:30pm and will continue until 30 minutes after the game. Saints fans will watch the game on six big screens and party down with an open bar.
The Game Day Menu will include savory entrees such as Fried Green Tomatoes with New Orleans Remoulade, Chicory Barbecued Baked Chicken with New Orleans Dirty Rice, Gulf Fish Court Bouillon with Grits, New Orleans Muffalettas, Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, and Kicked Up Chili and Emeril’s King Cake. The cost is $125 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity.
“For those New Orleanians who don’t have tickets we’re doing a New Orleans buffet, so all the Who Dats can be together,” said Emeril to Miami Fox News reporter Nancy Parker. Chef Emeril has been a Saints season ticket holder for 25 years, and was in the dome when the Saints won the NFC Championship game. He told Parker he expects Archie and Olivia Manning will drop by to eat before the weekend is out, along with several Saints defensive lineman on the reservation list.
It should come as no surprise that Chef Emeril is an avid Saints fan. Emeril is particularly fond of Creole and Cajun style cooking. His head corporate office is located in New Orleans where he opened his first restaurant, Emeril’s, in 1990. That same year Esquire Magazine donned his eatery “Restaurant of the Year”.
Chef Emeril will also be “hosting his radio show Cooking with Emeril live from Emeril’s Miami Beach restaurant Friday, February 5 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm ET on SIRIUS XM. Emeril and an all-star lineup of guests including acclaimed chef/restaurateur Mario Batali, Chef Greg Hardesty of Indianapolis’ Recess and Chef Allison Vines-Rushing of New Orleans’ MiLA will share their favorite game day entertaining tips and tailgating recipes, and take calls from listeners nationwide. Cooking with Emeril airs live on Martha Stewart Living Radio, SIRIUS channel 112 and XM channel 157 as part of ‘The Best of SIRIUS’ package. Listeners can call 1-866-675-6675 or email questions to [email protected]”
