Best friends, Alie Ward and Georgia Hardstark, met outside a hip dive bar in Los Angeles. Little did they know that this chance meeting will lead to a partnership that will make them famous. Alie, a staff writer for the LA Times, and Georgia, a blogger and receptionist, meet after work for some drinks, a routine that paved the way for them to create the fictitious cocktail abomination called “McNuggetini,” which went viral and was covered by The New York Times, Time Magazine, and CNN.
They are working now as on-camera contributors for Cooking Channel’s Unique Sweets and host their own online Web series named as “Classy Ladies with Alie & Georgia,” where they wear pretty dresses, pretend to be classy, and throw jokes at each other.
The dynamic duo shared with us their recipe for “Cherry Bourbon Licor.” It’s very easy to make and quite refreshing, and it’s the perfect libation to keep you company during chilly Winter nights.
Cherry Bourbon Licor
2 oz. bourbon
3/4 oz. Licor 43
3 dashes cherry bitters
1. Add all ingredients to a glass and stir with ice for 15-30 seconds.
2. Strain into a glass with a large, fresh ice cube and garnish with a Luxardo cherry.
3. Toast to vanilla-cherry winter warmth, over ice. Enjoy!
