A North Carolina native, Phillip Ivey went to UNC-Chapel Hill for a music major. After graduating from the university, he found a full-time employment at The Carolina Inn. Boasting with 15 years of hospitality and consulting experience, he was best known for his concoction of creative cocktails, including “Tar Heel Tea,” which became the hotel’s signature drink.
Phillip is dubbed as the “conductor” of the Carolina Crossroads Bar for his awe-inspiring love of food and beverage, sense of hospitality, as well as for incorporating amazing elements of his musical background to his work.
This Christmas season, Phillip created a holiday cocktail that would surely tickle everyone’s fancy. His new drink, dubbed as Santa’s Secret Martini, plays well with the season’s flavors and would be a perfect match to the great cuisine and tasty snacks available at Carolina Crossroads Bar.
Santa’s Secret Martini
1 oz. Domanie de Canton
1 oz. Stoli Vanilla
1/2 oz. Kahlua
1/2 oz. Bailey’s
Splash of Cinnamon Schnapps
1 oz. cream
1. Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
2. Pour into a martini glass rimmed in colored sugar and cinnamon.
3. Garnish with a cinnamon stick. Cheers!
