Lisa Lillien, also known as “Hungry Girl”, is a New York Times best-selling author and the creator of the Hungry Girl brand, especially the Website, Hungry-Girl.com, where she has over a million of subscribers obsessively awaiting her daily emails about healthy living.
She has authored eight best-selling books” five of which debuted at number one on the New York Times Best Sellers list. Her most recent book, “Hungry Girl 200 Under 200 Just Desserts,” made it to the list May of 2013. You may also know her from her various editorial columns and appearances on daytime television shows. She also hosts her own show, Hungry Girl, that airs on both Food Network and Cooking Channel.
We asked Lisa for a dish she thinks best represent the Summer season. She handed us her recipe for “Sweet Spiced Apples.” It’s a pretty quick, yet delicious dessert that will comfort you and keep you cool this Summer.
Sweet Spiced Apples
150 calories, 3g fat, 22mg sodium, 28.5g carbs, 3g fiber, 24g sugars, 3g protein
2 tbsp. Spiced Latte Flavor NESTLÃ COFFEE-MATE Liquid Coffee Creamer
2 tbsp. fat-free plain Greek yogurt
Dash cinnamon
1 cup chopped Fuji apple
Method
In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix Coffee-mate, yogurt, and cinnamon. Add apple, and stir to coat. Enjoy!
