We’ve all been hearing the buzz. People are saying that this is it. This is the solution to their dieting needs. And not only does this help you lose weight, but it also helps you become healthier. And it’s called BluePrint Cleanse.

Now what exactly is BluePrint Cleanse? According the brand’s website, BluePrint Cleanse came about when the company’s founder had a cold. Acting on the advice of a friend, who advocates raw food, she tried creating a cleansing diet for herself. After several tries, she realized that it actually works. And the cold that has been tormenting her is finally gone.

Too bad that there is a snag.

She discovered that the initial diet is too extreme for her. For this reason, she went about developing her own nutritional cleansing system that would not only take care of her sickness, but would also be easy to handle by the body. Seeing that it worked, she decided to offer her cleansing diet to interested people. Teaming up with a friend in the PR business, she came up with the company named BluePrint Cleanse.

The principle of this diet could be based on what we call as juice fasting. This is a type of detoxification diet where someone takes in only fruit and vegetable juices, and nothing else. This would be strictly followed for a pre-determined number of days, after which the results could then be felt by the individuals. Since juice and vegetables contain only easily digestible carbohydrates, the effect is like you’re forcing the body to get the energy from other sources, namely, proteins and fat. Since the diet is liquid, toxins and other impurities in the body are believed to be removed.

But does the brand really work?

Perhaps. There have been reviews from different people who claim conflicting views about this innovation. Some contend that this is nothing more than an overprice method of dieting, while others say that this is the best that could ever be done for the body. Whatever the end results may be, it still remains that BluePrint Cleanse has found a market for itself.

But that shouldn’t stop people from trying this diet at home. If you find the price of each bottle to expensive for your tastes, then you could always make you own juices at home. All you need is a blender, and some water or ice, and then you can have a refreshing and clean drink. It may not be as effective as the ones being commercially sold, but at least you’re sure that they’re made fresh.

Here are some recipes that you could try at home:

Juice Fasting Recipe #1: Apple and Celery

Blend two apples that are seeded with 2 stalks of celery in a juicer. Add ¼ of a lemon and some ice for your apple-celery juice.

Juice Fasting Recipe #2: Vegetable Juice

Juice Fasting Recipe #3: Papaya Juice

Add one papaya, which is peeled and the seeds removed with ¼ inch of sliced and peeled fresh ginger and the juice of 1 lime wedge. Blend this mixture for extracting a healthy papaya juice.

Juice Fasting Recipe #4: Cherry-Grape Juice

One cup of cherries and a bunch of grapes and 1 lemon wedge with outer colored part removed is put in a juicer and blended to extract the cherry-grape juice.

Juice Fasting Recipe #5: Tomato Juice

Blend a mix of two medium sized tomatoes with ½ red bell pepper. Add small amounts of onion or garlic cloves and one piece of carrot or one stalk of celery.

Juice Fasting Recipe #6: Beet Juice

Put one beet and two stalks of celery with 2 kale leaves in a juicer and mix. You can also add in one piece of carrot if you like.

Juice Fasting Recipe #7: Peach Juice

Put two to three peaches, which have been washed and cut into a juicer and blend to get a yummy peach juice.

Now, before you proceed with this diet, it’s best if you talk things over with your doctor. Not all people can use this diet as they may have special nutritional needs. If you really want to try this, then have him or a licensed dietician help you formulate the optimum formula. In this way, you can be sure that you’re getting all the nutrients that you need.
