Terry Gonzalez is the managing principal for the Lobby Restaurant, Lounge and Sports Bar in Elizabeth, NJ. Terry started working in the restaurant industry when he was sixteen years of age as a busboy. He saw a future in the business so he sought opportunities with a number of reputable venues. In 2013, Terry was approached with an offer he couldn’t refuse. Eddy G. Productions was impressed with his work and offered him a managing partner position at the Lobby. After 3 years in business, the Lobby has quickly become a staple in the community, attracting thousands of people for its food and festive parties. FriendsEAT was fortunate to get an interview with Terry about their food, concept and business philosophy at the restaurant.
FriendsEAT: Tell us a little something about your restaurant.
Terry: The Lobby is best known for its rich and authentic Latin-American cuisine, serving a wide variety of tasty delicious foods late into the night. The Lobby’s rich menu is sizzling with appetizing meals, ready to satisfy any and all taste buds! Located 25 minutes from New York City, guests don’t have to travel far to enjoy the best of both worlds in a beautiful Manhattan-like setting.
If you’re looking for a night out with your friends, the Lobby is where you can “Eat, Chill, and Play,” all under one roof! Grab your dancing shoes and bring your partner for a night of unforgettable memories.
FE: What makes you stand out above the rest?
Terry: The Lobby literally has something for everyone to enjoy. The experience starts in the heart of Elizabeth’s tourism district where customers can enjoy indoor and outdoor dining. The venue offers a large dining area with 30+ TV’s, a tropical outdoor oasis, a designated pool area for game lovers, and an upstairs penthouse for private and public parties. If you’re looking for it, the Lobby most likely offers it.
