Millesime has always been hard to find (even with two entrances). The restaurant is celebrating their new entrance on 29th between Madison and 5th on May 17 with a 3-course meal for only $1.25!
Why $1.25? That is the price originally charged for a meal at the Seville Hotel (Millesime’s current home – now the Carlton Hotel) when it opened in 1904.
What do you get?
An (as in 1) oyster Rockefeller (how very New York)
Chicken Marengo or Lamb Stew
AND an Ice Cream Sundae
The restaurant WILL NOT take reservations, and will seat people on a first come, first served basis. the portions will be a smaller than their regular dishes, but this is still a killer deal. Taxes and tip are not included (but we suggest you tip your servers well – after all – this is a huge savings). Lunch will be served from 11:30am-2pm, dinner from 5:30-8pm.
Millesime is located at 92 Madison Avenue (entrance on 29th between Madison and 5th). For details call 212-889-7100
Here’s a video of Chef Laurent Manrique (ignore the horrible pronunciation by the TV host)
