I’m a HUGE fan of Mochi ice cream. If you’ve never had Mochi, you should. It’s a Japanese dessert made up of Mochi (a pounded sticky rice) with an ice cream filling. It’s the perfect size so you don’t feel like a total heifer downing a whole tub of ice cream (so hard to stop once you’ve started), and that little bundle of deliciousness is super cute for entertaining.

Delicious Mochi in super exotic flavors

I received samples of some rockin’ Mochi ice cream this week from Mochidoki. They came in a cute little box that looked like a jewelry case. I loved this presentation, it felt as if I was about to embark in something truly luxurious.Since I am on a diet (grrr diets), it was perfect. I allowed myself one Mochi at the end of each work shift, at 100 calories per mochi, they were an awesome treat.

Why You’ll Love Mochidoki

These Mochis are made in small batches with only the best products to keep quality high. They are made only with all natural flavors, no artificial colors, and (if you’re into this kinda thing) they are gluten free. Plus…they come in awesome flavors like Vanilla Chocolate Chip, Raspberry White Chocolate Crunch, Salted Caramel, Lychee Colada, Raspberry White Chocolate, Frothy Chocolate, and Mochaccino Chip.

My Faves

Lychee Colada flavored mochi from Mochidoki

Lychee Colada Flavor from Mochidoki

Lychee Colada –  This one is made of lychee ice cream which is mixed with REAL coconut and FRESH  pineapple and then wrapped in Mochi…Yum! I am thrilled to say it was not cloyingly sweet, rather elegant and definite hints of pineapple.

Raspberry White Chocolate Flavor Mochidoki Ice Cream

Raspberry White Chocolate Mochidoki – WOW. It tasted like breakfast cereal in the best way. The ice cream was gooey and suddenly there was a white chocolate crunch that was pleasantly unexpected.

Mandarin Orange Cream flavored mochi from Mochidoki

Mandarin Orange Cream: This one was like a creamsicle, except better. It was creamy, citrusy, and totally reminded me of my childhood.

Mochidoki has recently launched their online store www.mochidoki.com, where they will be selling single flavor packs of 10 pieces at $20 or four unique flavor collections at $80. They offer a flat rate shipping to anywhere in the continental US. Their delicious mochi would surely make for a perfect gift for any occasion!
