New Years Eve New York Deals 2018
This is one of the most exciting New York New Year’s Eve packages. The Sofitel New York is running not one, but two New Year’s Eve celebrations that keep the whole family in mind.
For those with little ones, an early celebration where kids 12 & under dine free (with a paying parent) and then get to enjoy holiday movies AND a candy and popcorn bar, followed by an early New Year’s countdown at 7:30 p.m.
More grown-up little ones can enjoy is a special $45 menu that includes a petit filet mignon & molten chocolate cake.
And for those of us who are fully grown-up, an antipasti buffet and a three-course meal that comes with a half-bottle of Moët & Chandon at $185 per person and a goodie bag. The early celebration ends at 8 pm.
If you’re one of those who dances the year away, you can enjoy the same prix fixe menu starting at 8:30 pm with a DJ to get you on the dance floor at 10 pm and a live screening of the Times Square ball drop. The celebration doesn’t end until 2 am. The celebration costs $265 per person.

Jones Wood Foundry (Upper East Side)
Want to do something outside of the ordinary for New Year’s Eve? Then Jones Wood Foundry, NYC’s evocative food driven pub, is the place. Head for The Highlands for Hogmanay (a.k.a. New Year’s Eve) to celebrate the debut of 2019 in true Scottish style.
Taking an international approach, Jones Wood Foundry will welcome the New Year twice – once at 7 p.m. with a piper in full kilted regalia when 2019 dawns on the British Isles and again at midnight, when 2019 first graces the continental U.S.
The restaurant is offering two ways to salute the New Year – in its cozy candlelit dining room with festive three-course prix fixe dinner showcasing Scottish game for $45 – Jones Wood Foundry’s popular Classics Menu of elevated pub food and traditional British dishes will also be in play.
You can also opt for the convivial bar with free flowing house wines and draft beers for $60, inclusive of tax and gratuity, where the $55 prix fixe and the Classics Menus will present food options to go with the bottomless beverages.
Either space is limited for the opportunity to raise a glass to belt a heartfelt “slangevar” (the customary Scottish toast) to family, friends and 2019 at the intimate establishment. To make dining room reservations, click here and for the bar celebration, please go here.
