Sotto 13 (140 W. 13th Street) – Opening soon will be the Sotto 13 in the West Village. The idea behind the restaurant is to socialize the Italian way. Imagine yourself sitting at their bar, snacking on some wood fired pizza and sipping on one of their signature cocktails. This place is not about Michelin stars or fancy stuff. They want it to be “just simple, real and fun”. (UPDATE – Sotto 13 will open on November 17).
Fletcher’s Brooklyn Barbecue (433 Third Avenue, Brooklyn) – The newest BBQ place in the Gowanus area opened on 11/2. Owner Billy Fletcher’s goal is to bring authentic American pit barbecue to the area. Think pork shoulder, brisket, and mac n’ cheese.
