A reasonably priced gem off the Silverton Casino floor, Twin Creeks Steakhouse delivers great service, tasty food and a modern, sultry ambiance. We were able to to talk to one of their chefs, Chef Paul Youngstrand, who shared with us a few tidbits about himself, the restaurant, and the food that they serve.

Chef Paul: We pride ourselves on offering a high quality, fine dining steakhouse experience with value that is beyond any comparable steakhouse in the area.
FE: Where did you train?
Chef Paul: Culinary Institute of America
FE: Did you grow up cooking or did cooking come to you later in life?
Chef Paul: I grew up watching and helping my family cook.

Chef Paul: My Mother, Father and Grandmother
FE: What made you decide to become a chef?
Chef Paul: Just a feeling I had that didn’t go away. I just knew I wanted to be a chef when I grew up.

FE: What misconceptions do people have when they first enter the culinary field?
Chef Paul: Some people think that if they go to culinary school they will graduate and become a chef. Most don’t get that far I’ve found. People are not ready for the hard work and dedication it takes.
FE: What is the best cooking tip you can share for a novice?
Chef Paul: Don’t be afraid to fail. Learning from my mistakes I have found is the best way to learn.

Chef Paul: Knife, Fire, Instinct
