Port is the ultimate in sensuality. It is rich, luscious, and flavorful. I’m a fan of Sandeman Founders Reserve Porto. This 200 year old port house knows what they are doing. This particular port is made from the finest “lots” of each vintage and aged for 5 years to achieve its classical flavor. it’s too damn good and too damn easy to drink, so make sure to open up the bottle with friends…or, better yet, that special someone.
Turns out it’s quite good as a cocktail ingredient. If you’re feeling experimental on Valentine’s day, I say give the following recipe a shot. If you’re feeling a bit reserved, just serve it in a slightly chilled glass, cuddle up next to the fireplace and enjoy.

3 parts Sandeman Founders Reserve
3 parts Chivas Regal Scotch Whisky
1 part demerara syrup
1/2 part dry vermouth
1/2 part white crème de cacao
Dash of orange bitters
Dash of Angostura bitters
