It simply doesn’t get any more romantic than this. The Grand Hotel dining room is located within the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan USA. The Five-star Hotel served as a backdrop for the 1980 film “Somewhere in Time” starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. Every October the hotel hosts an annual convention for fans of the cult-classic. Mackinac Island is accessible only by ferry boat or plane, and since cars are not permitted on the Island, all transportation is by horse-drawn carriage and bicycle. The dining room at the Grand Hotel has a well-stocked wine cellar offering abundant choices of domestic and imported wines. After dinner, guests are welcome in the Parlor for nightly demitasse and music performed by The Grand Hotel Orchestra. For information on romantic getaway packages click here.
