If any of you have ever watched Kings of Pastry, you’ll be so excited because the US Pastry Competition is coming to NYC on March 5th. Each year at the International Restaurant and Food Service Show, pastry chefs from around the country come in to compete for the title of Pastry Chef of the Year and prizes that total over $10,000.

What is there to expect at this competition? Some incredible, edible sculptures that are as fragile as they are gorgeous. The challenges include creations of chocolate and sugar. The theme of the year for the US Pastry Competition is “Modern Masters Come to Chocolate”.
The event is run yearly by Paris Gourmet, a gourmet food company that services some of the best restaurants in America. Judges include members of the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique.
This year’s sponsors are Cacao Noel Chocolate, Pastry 1 (pastry ingredients), Beurremont Butter, Gourmand and Maison de Choix.
Where Will the US Pastry Competition 2017 Take Place?
The pieces will be shown at the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York at the Jacob Javits Center On Sunday. The awards ceremony takes place at 4pm at the Pastry Competition Arena.
