AMAZING! The food is fantastic. The restaurant has a chill atmosphere for a social night or even a date night. You order your food, take a table number, and they bring the food to you. We received our food in under 7 minutes. The bar is separate from the food ordering area. We went on a Thursday night and they had some great priced drinks specials. The outside seating area is enjoyable. The pricing is spot on for the quality of the food. This is one of my new favorite spots in downtown Arlington and I willsurely be back.

Cool little taco shop and bar. The bartenders are great, thanks Josh for taking care of me. Great variety of tacos and a taco special Wednesday evenings. Good beer special on Wednesday as well. Check it out if you're in the area.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

I've been here many times but this is my first time to write a review. I love the 7 layer dip that is cooked in an iron skillet (yummy, hot goo!!!) and the #9 taco!!! Never fails to satisfy!

Visited Cartel to try it out and to rices I felt were fair and nice selection of options. Tried the salmon , beef fajita , chicken fajita tacos. They were all flavorful. The corn tortillas were ok so if your a fan of flour go ahead and order those.

Pretty good!! First time there.Tacos were pretty filled w substance. I had the veggie taco, chicken fajita taco, and Mexican corn. Very good.Salsa was meh...needed flavor. But they had chicharones and that was tasty. The rice was undercooked.Service was good.Overall, I give it. 4.5 and well worth another visit.

We decided to try this place based on the reviews and to try something different. We love traditional Mexican food but I like to keep an open mind.Nice, clean place and the staff were great. Ordering tacos was a little confusing. I asked for a #10, thinking is was 2-3 tacos with rice and beans. My company ordered a #3, thinking the same thing. One taco was brought out to each of us. By making one item a #, it is a little misleading. The chips and salsas were very good. The tacos were ok, I would best describe them as “fusion” tacos. They were stuffed with veggies, which we decided we did not like. My company thought they were getting rice and beans as well, which is customary for taco orders. They were told “it’s in the tacos.”We ordered drinks at the bar. I ordered a frozen margarita and was told they were out of them. I asked what kind of Cabernet they had and was told the same. I ordered a margarita on the rocks and was told by my company that it was weaker then OJ Simpson’s alibi. We will not be returning, as it is not our favorite kind of food. I would not recommend this place to family and friends who like traditional Mexican food.

Sorry but wasn't really a fan of this. These are fusion tacos. Too much going on yet oddly bland at the same time. I couldn't taste the mac n Cheese in my taco. I think the taco shells kind of drown out the flavors. I thought the beans would be kind of sweet but they weren't. I didn't like them. Cilantro rice bland. Wasnt a fan of the cheese sticks either. The consistency was like the cheap cheese slices in the plastic wrapping from the grocery store rolled up battered and fried. I won't return but I think others might like their food. If you like fusion tacos give em a try.

If you get the right thing it’s a 4. The corn tortillas are a big pass here. Get flower if you get street tacos I’d recommend the fajita ones as the pulled pork needed more flavor. The salmon taco was very yummy and tender but since it was in a corn tortilla it was a bit hard to appreciate. The barbacoa taco lacked a bit of salt but was overall good in taste; it is spicy FYI. The Green salsa was good. Red one tasted like a mix of Valentina and chipotle. Very fast service at least when I was there.

The food was DELICIOUS, but the service was lacking. The front door was locked, and the server offered no apologies when he let us in (several minutes later)— just said that no one there knew how to unlock it?! Also, several items were left off our order and it took a long time to get them returned, with no apology for the mistake. Finally, menu items were misnamed on the menu boards (specifically the soups), and the server argued with us when asked to clarify. So… great food, but I suggest ordering take-out (and checking your order before you leave!)
