Not sure what's with all the recent reviews, but I went on a Saturday at 8 PM had no issues whatsoever. Food was absolutely delicious, although a bit disappointed yakitori is a $30 set rather than whatever skewer you want. Service time wasn't bad at all, received everything in reasonable time. Did not feel like it was exceptionally slow, and was out of there within an hour and a half or so, which felt reasonable with what we ordered.Taste was amazing, although prices are high for the quantity you get. Yakitori alone will not fill you up, but I got a Yakitori set ($30) + Wagyu Fried Rice ($40) and was full afterwards. The fried rice is easily one of the best I've ever had.I plan on returning next time I get the chance.

Been coming here for at least 17 years now! never had a bad experience. Always Great customer service and amazing dishes. I've personally sent tones of people here and they were amazed by this little gem in the middle of busy Lower GreenvilleNot sure why people leave bad reviews, if they have not even had sushi here ..

After having lived in the neighborhood for several years, it wasn't until I had moved away before I'd decided to try it! I was super pleased! The sushi is on the pricy side but excellent!I couldn't help but notice how many couples were here but then I realized how much of a perfect date night spot this would be! I'm definitely coming back... probably with a date!

Honestly 4.5* but there are no half stars.Food was fantastic! (Think Japanese tapas)Sake options were very good as well. The service was, at times, painfully slow. Our food came out over a two hour period. When dealing with "tapas", this means that there were long stretches of no eating. At the end of the night, after ordering dessert, the staff came out to apologise for the delays in food (we did not complain to anyone) and brought us a tray of macaroons.

Everything here was pretty good. I think my favorite thing from the night I went is actually tied between the chicken liver skewer and the sea urchin. The only things that I could have passed on was the cow tounge (tough for what I'm used to) and foie gras (which had something on it that was so sweet it overpowered everything). I think the general consensus from everyone that night was that the place was liked.

Authentic yakitori place is hard to find, and we felt lucky coming across Teppo. I have been craving for yaki chicken meatballs for a while too? Anyhow the reason for the borderline three to four stars is because of the non yakitori food was just underwhelming. I can understand why you would try to include many things like sushi or apps just to please the crowd, but they are not your specialty. Also maybe due to the location and such the foot traffic wasn't great. The lack of energy in the room did make the experience less enjoyable.

Disappointed. Went for a celebration but this was not a good dining experience. Overpriced and dinner took 2 hours to complete since there is only one chef. Restaurant was practically empty on a Friday night but it still took that long. Food was okay (reason for 2 stars or else I’d leave 1) but not worth the bill we paid. We will not be going back. So many other great dining experiences available in DFW area now that offer great food and better service.

Good food but very pricy, sushi prices are per piece (my fault to assume 2 pieces per order as in most sushi restaurants), for example scallop sashimi in the photo costs $48, thin slices. Scallop sushi is $12 per. Great but nothing special. Yakitori set is $30 which gives you 6 skewers, chef’s choice, but everyone at the table has to order a set. Chicken thigh Yakitori (Momo) is under cooked in the middle, when I asked we were told it’s usually served medium, I mean it’s probably just a lack of knowledge on my part but I’ve never had chicken yakitori served less than fully cooked even in Japan, unless it specifically says Chicken Sashimi. The other skewers are fine.Spent $330 for 2. didn’t have time to order dessert. We were not full at all and went across the street for more food. The service and atmosphere were excellent. We won’t be going back.

The most fake Japanese place I've ever been. I have visited Tei Tei, Tai-Ann, Uchi, Sushi Sake, Nobu.... whole place is fraud. It is a rip-off place, it is totally not in Japanese culture, I am not sure why they still in business? First of all, the menu is only one page and they claim is Yakitori restaurant but their menu only a few simple yakitori dishes and price is outrages compares to Nobu and other well known Japanese restaurant. Only one chef and one waitress serves the entire restaurant, we came in at 8 pm till 9 pm there was not a single dish being served. It is horrible ! we could not wait any more just left. I ordered a bottle sake recommended by waitress with no price tag being told in advance, when we left the bill is $200 for the sake.I feel an obligation to report this to all foodies, this is the restaurant you all should avoid.
