Gurney has the BEST sandwiches around. Definitely worth the price, the drive and, an occasional short wait, if necessary. They are family owned and ran., which makes it even more special. The bread is always made fresh daily. A day with a Gurneys sandwich is a tasty day.

A popular sandwich stop for good reason! Bread tastes fresh and food tastes great. The Train Wreck seems to be a crowd favorite. For those who like a little zing, ask for spicy pepper cheese, banana peppers and dijon mustard.

I've probably had my fist sandwich there 40 years ago. They take the phone off the hook when they get busy. They run out of stuff every day. If you come to late in the afternoon, they'll probably be out of bread. No sandwich for you! They only take cash. So why do people wait in line for them? Because they're really good.

Who knew that a small store in the middle of nowhere town has better roast beef than all of overhyped overpriced Ann Arbor and Bloomfield kosher delis.There is nothing that comes even close in quality in Southeast Michigan.

Sandwiches are really good based on prior experience. Today we were 30 minutes away and wanted to order sandwiches to eat tonight. Their phone was off the hook so could not call ahead to order or get estimate of wait time. We decided to drive to the store to order in person but after seeing the long line that extended out the door we changed our mind and now have to figure out another option. Other restaurants offer mobile ordering through an app, answer telephone, and accept credit/debit. This store does not offer any of these 21st century options. Buyer beware.

Very disappointed today.. Didn't have everything to make a trainwreck... No roast beef, lettuce, or tomatoes... Also my husband had to wait to be served after standing there for fifteen minutes and having a (Karen) cut in front of him...
