Great place for delicious tapas and great cocktails. Every dish we ordered was perfect. The service was fantastic. The server was extremely helpful and friendly. Would love to visit again to try the paella as we only had tapas. The only concern we had was the cars driving by pretty fast next to the outdoor area. Definitely a place to visit if you are in Kansas City. Look forward to trying the paella out next time we visit.

This place is fantastic! Every time I've come here I've enjoyed my experience. The restaurant is darling and always well kept. We came here for my sisters 30th birthday and the server was nice enough to put the ice cream cake back in their freezer till we were ready to eat it.I love that their menu focuses on tapas so that you can experience many different plates and tastes. They're also generous sizes too so you can share! They have good vegetarian/vegan and pescatarian options. Great place is you're looking for some authentic Spanish tapas and amazing cocktails! They have happy hours on Mondays for their cocktails so def have to hit them up on Mondays! Their drink specials are always delicious - you won't be disappointed! Highly recommend for folks who are looking for a unique restaurant in the Kansas City area!

La Bodega has been one of my all-time fave spots of KC for nearly 30 years. (Ok I’m aging myself, but they never disappoint!) their tapas and sangria are top notch. Tapas are an excellent way to get many different flavors and share them with others.

Delicious tapas! I appreciate how informative the waiter was. He helped us decide how much of each small plate to order and made great drink recommendations. Very impressed across the board from service and atmosphere to the quality of the food.Dine in: Yes

Wow! I can't believe I haven't been here before. Sat at the bar since it was busy but service was still extremely quick and the food was absolutely amazing!! Perfect for sharing family style. All of the staff was incredibly polite and gave the place a nice atmosphere

We ended up here on our anniversary night. We were very surprised! This is a Tapas restaurant, and let me tell you, everything was excellent. Our server Christy was very nice, friendly and explained the platters very well. This place has art painted on the wall, then they have tile work too, just the ambiance was lovely. Now let’s talk food! I love lentils so I asked for lentil soup!! It was the best lentil soup I have ever had. We ordered 4 tapas and they were all delicious! They looked good, had great consistency and most importantly seasoned to perfection!! Now, let’s talk alcoholic beverages. Wow! So we had the cucumber something lol apart from being refreshing and it super tasty. Anyway, want to come back and visit next time in Missouri.

First time visiting La Bodega and for mothers day. The food was fantastic, and gluten free options were plentyful. wife really enjoyed the Tito's Lemonade. Why did I only give them 4 stars. The service was slow and we felt a little forgotten. Our server claimed the kitchen was slammed. Maybe it was.Will we give them another chance? Don't know.

Great food! I was a little intimidated by the menu at first, as I didn't really understand it- at all. Haha. But every single thing I tried was delicious! Pretty small portions, which is common for fancy places these days, but so yummy. Took one star away for not having a very detailed menu, and for the amount of time it took for us. Nothing came out at the same time for our table, but it was still a great time, and the food was fantastic.

Decent place. Expensive????????????. Lol. So you basically order a bunch of small plates. We had four people and we ordered 6 plates and 2 desserts and it came out to almost $200????. Soooo pretty pricy per person. But we did also order 2 desserts lol. So speaking of dessert… The goat cheese cheesecake???? was not as good as I’d hope for. It tasted pretty weird and I love goat cheese????????. Anyways, onto the main meals.. all pretty tasty. Definitely unique flavors I haven’t had before. My favorite was the gambas a la plancha aka shrimp ???? . The sauce was so good!!! Everything else was decent. The other people in my group loved the elotes ???? aka plate of corn lol and the championes a la plancha aka a huge plate of mixed mushrooms ???? . Menu is all in Spanish so it takes a while to decode lol. Service was nice. Overall, ok place. I think it’s good for like a first date spot because you don’t have to stuff your face and you can still chat and look presentable and won’t be full AF when you leave!

Stopped by with a friend for happy hour. The food was pretty good but really nothing special. I enjoyed the elotes and the chicken stuffed bell peppers. I felt like the potatoes and sausage dish was very filling but fairly bland. The prices were fair on the happy hour menu, but I otherwise probably would not order the same items on the regular price menu. Might return to try the paella but none of the five dishes I tried were quite enough to make me want to come back.
