Went to el Chaman for dinner, upon arrival we were seated almost instantly ( good) but the server got to the table 20 min later ( bad), we order fish ceviche and we got tilapia ceviche ( really! Tilapia ceviche? Very bad) lime from ceviche tasted like from concentrate ( bad ). We also order calamari rings (good). My son ordered lemonade and it was a glass of energy shot water and a lot off sugar kept him up all night. Then wifi ordered lomo saltado ( good). And I ordered risotto guardalajara or something like that which it came with fish crab and shrimp. Now here I come with my review! Risotto was disgusting, it was not made with arborio rice or any authentic risotto, it was arros a la chorrera ( soupy rice ratio 1cup of rice to 10 cups of water) the fish again tilapia, crab I couldn't figure it out and shrimp was real. On top of all that we had to smell the old cigar smell which was right next door, and listen to 2 centuries ago bolero music which it was nice but the music was so loud that I lost my voice cause I was yelling to my wifi who was 2 feet away from me so she could here me. it was not romantic at all! But wait not everything was bad, the bread was very good and so it was the water, the deco was good too. Overall, 2 hour dinning experience because the service was slow, $ 85 + 17% forced tip. VERY BAD. I would not recommend this place.
