Onesto was absolutely fabulous in every way. We sat on the patio and enjoyed prompt, excellent service our entire visit. The food was phenomenal. It was hard to resist the lobster ravioli, but I knew I needed to have the special once it was mentioned by our server, and it turned out to be, bar none, the best pasta I’ve had in my life! They make the pasta fresh at the restaurant, so it makes sense. If I lived in Milwaukee, I’d be here too much for my own good.

The place is wonderful indeed! Food is great and delicious. Guys are very attentive to all the clients needs. Nothing to say bad, just and only good things and recommendations. Great variety of wines and staff is knowledgeable and able to give advice. We will come back to Onesto many times in future.

My husband and I visited this place for lunch! It was very delicious, and the staff was helpful. We do recommend reservations because the first time we attempted to eat here we could not get in! Glad we came back though! We got the calamari — it was very delicious, probably the best thing, with a very yummy sauce! My husband got the bolognese with brisket and spaghetti! He liked it, but not as much as the calamari. I got the pesto sandwhich, which came with a side salad! All very yummy! I’d recommend :)Everything came with bread :)

We walked past and decided to give it a shot. Our bartender/server was amazing. She helped us decided on some wine and food options.Everything was great. We had cocktails, wine, port, some pasta, and desert.You have to try it out.

Best pasta I’ve ever had in Milwaukee! For years I haven’t been able to say that I truly love the pasta of any restaurant in the city, until now! Onesto has taken that spot. We were seated at the bar because we hadn’t made a reservation and there were no tables available. However, we did get great attention and service at the bar. Our server was very professional and showed profound knowledge of the menu.I ordered a soup right away while we looked at the menu. I can’t recall what the name of the soup was, but it had a red color to it with chicken, tomatoes, onions, and celery. It was delicious! For appetizers we got the Sautéed Calamari. This dish was actually not my favorite, there is a good flavor at first but it has a sharp bitter aftertaste to it too. Incidentally, the pasta that I ordered was the Fusilli with chicken and it was heavily good! I didn’t like the mushrooms in the pasta though, somehow they created an imbalance of flavors instead of complimenting with the rest of the dish. But now I know for next time to ask for no mushrooms! I highly recommend Onesto!

Modern Italian restaurant in downtown Milwaukee. Would recommend to reserve a table to ensure your seat. The bread was fresh and with the butter made it perfect. The pasta is home made daily and it shows. The pasta was nice and thick, and delicious. The sauce was also great. The wait staff was very nice and helpful to our needs/questions too. Recommend for any couple needing date night in downtown Milwaukee and y'all got the craving for Italian food. I recommend O

Excellent service n great atmosphere!! Appetizer had canned tomatoes vs. Fresh but was still solid and did have honey on it which was new 2 me for -bruschetta. Bean soup was warm. Scallops Risotto was great. Lobster ravioli was solid. Tiramisu was excellent. Bread in beginning was excellent n sea salt butter was outstanding

The lobster ravioli was so good!!!Our food took over an hour to arrive and my food was room temperature warm. I assume because my friend ordered a gluten free pasta but the lobster ravioli was so delicious, I can’t help but give them 5 stars!I tried the three dishes we ordered and mine was by far, my favorite.Also our waiter Aaron was very knowledgeable and an overall talented server! Beautiful setting, will be back.

Out of this world good Italian!!! While the wine list is a little lacking and the extra mile of warm service may not be there, the food more than makes up for it. The bruschetta is a must. So is literally any pasta dish. Choose what sounds best for you abs you’re going to love it.Dine in: Yes

Sometimes great service isn’t quite enough to accommodate an entire dining experience. When we arrived we were greeted and seated promptly and politely! Immediately noticed how beautiful the atmosphere is but still decided to admire it from the outdoors. I think each meal is served with bread and butter which could have been a little fresher. Even though it was towards the end of the night this is a true estimate of a restaurant's prowess. The food beyond not being flavorful was just not good texture was gooey and inconsistent with the calamari. The highlight of the food was the salmon which is the only edible thing on a $29 plate but it was worth it salmon alone! I like to go out to restaurants but I don't know that I would return given my first impression. Lots of improvements are needed as far as the menu but if you want a very good laugh give em a go!
