If you want to experience some of the best Italian food the Milwaukee area has to offer, you've come to the right place. Make no mistake, you are going to pay for it, Ristorante is not cheap. That said, the food is absolutely excellent. A new -taste of Italy- menu brings a different dining experience, but as soon as you get past that distinctly American expectation for 50 different dishes offered, settle in, pick an app, pasta dish, meat dish, and dessert, and enjoy a feast! In general, meats are expertly cooked, pasta dishes are exquisite, especially cream based dishes, most menu items are very close to authentic Italian. The only downsides, the ambiance is less than for me unless you go early, too many tables packed in make for a very loud dining room. And pains me to say as an Italian, their desserts are good, but cannot compare to the French establishment across the street.

I generally don't like Italian food, but this is my favorite restaurant in the area. They serve true Italian food, inspired by a different region of Italy each month. All four courses are great, but the standouts are the pastas, which are rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and any seafood based dishes, since the chef really seems to know how to treat seafood. And it's always a challenge to pick just one dessert. Wine list is extensive, cocktails and coffee are excellent too. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and down to earth.Parking: The parking can be tricky, so plan 5-10 minutes for finding a space.

This place is incredible! The menu is sophisticated from drinks to food to after dinner. The regional focused seasonal menu changes approximately every 4 weeks I was told. The attention to detail for the chosen dishes was really impressive. The food was fantastic and I can't say enough! This place is a true gem that should not be missed!

Good service, good food. It's small on the inside so if you don't like to be close to other people it wouldn't be comfortable.

I have to give it to the Ristorante Bartolotta located in Wauwatosa Village. My friend and I had dinner there last night for New Year's Eve, and they followed the guidelines to a T. They took our temperature when we first walked in, and each table had plexiglass between them and every staff member there was wearing their face mask. We were told we had to keep our face mask on whenever one of their staff members approached us. They would not even come near our table until we had our face mask on. The tables were spaced apart appropriately. The staff was very professional, the food was exceptionally delicious, and the ambience was warm and festive. I would highly recommend this restaurant especially during this time because they are going above and beyond following the CDC guidelines. Kudos to RISTORANTE BARTOLOTTA!

I went here for my fiancée's birthday. They do have excellent vegan options even though they aren't listed except for the salad. I was able to do the 4 course meal comple with vegan dishes. They have a wonderful vegetable spaghetti and bean risotto as well as a raspberry sorbet. It was nice to see that they put an allergy tag in my risotto so it didn't get mixed up with one that had dairy. Service is excellent as well. It is expensive but for special occasions that's okay.

Expensive and seating was not fun. Sat next to a table of 14 in a completely different building. 1 (poor) waitress for 20 some people. Drinks took 25 minutes to get, but the food was good at least. Would not recommend. 3 stars at best for the experience

The service is great, the terrace is lovely, beautiful ambiance. The food is good BUT overpriced and portions are SUPER small, it is not a michelin star restaurant and the quality is average. That said, both me and my wife puked after the dinner and not going to come back.

Disappointed with the extreme lack of awareness of the management. They put us in a room outside of the restaurant in another building where private events are held. They threw us in a small room with a table of 16. It was truly an awful experience. Spending $500 on an evening for my birthday was actually spent with screaming children and the party FaceTiming everyone they could possibly imagine. There was no music just a extremely loud table. Highly selfish of management to allow a table in that room and pretend it's acceptable. The poor waitress had to grab drinks from the other side of the restaurant, which took a long time. She did her best and grateful she tried. It was almost humiliating that they assumed we thought it was okay to throw us up there. Also, the bathrooms were littered with old paper towels and toilet paper. My step-son has worked and trained as a sous chef at a Michelin Star restaurant. This experience was an insult to the Bartoltta's name.
