We had a magical New Year's Eve meal last night. We were blown away by the quality, creativeness, and beauty of the six-course prix-fixe and wine pairing. We are pescatarian, and the chefs went out of their way to present us with a seafood-only menu. The pace was perfect; we enjoyed a leisurely 3-hour dinner. The staff was incredibly welcoming and knowledgable, but we were given time to enjoy our meal. Of note, I'm a lover of natural wine, and enjoyed all of the selections. What a great way to ring in the new year! We can't wait to return and try the à la carte menu.

Every item we ordered was better than the one before it! Imaginative cocktails, amazing food, delicious wine, best creme brûlee of my life, easily comparable to some of the best food I've had in Paris!

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night, had a great time. They have a huge wine list (including an orange wine - didn't order it though) and a number of cocktails as well.Coming into it I was a little apprehensive about the small menu. While there are several apps, small, and medium dishes, there were only 4 entrees on the menu (1 veggie, 2 fish, 1 chicken). I'm more of a protein person, but I ended up ordering the arctic char and was blown away by it! It was described as being similar to salmon (not my preferred fish), but the preparation of this was really what set it apart. The fish is cooked sous vide to a nice medium rare throughout - it was reminiscent of a smoked salmon. The morels and sauce was really nice and added a richness to the super tender fish.

Inside of L'Oursin, is a place called Old Scratch. It has delicious food, between chicken, tofu, brisket and burgers - it's totally worth trying them out. Although the prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, it's packed with great tastes. They also allow cocktails for delivery, with a few being pretty good. A little pricey once again, with small portion sizes, but you gotta try it since it's a great way right now to get things delivered. Double Smash Burger is amazing, and their chicken is done right.

It was an absolute treat to experience their foudne on the patio! The service was amazing, the spread was well thought out. I honestly can't get over that pot of melted cheese couple with the spiced wine. We took home dessert and pasta from the market for the next day. The sauce was more than expected. I look forward to going back when the full menu is available!

The burger special at the bar is fantastic. Don't skimp, treat yourself to the duck fat fries, too. Quick, delightfully friendly service, delicious food, and excellent cocktails, as well as a well-curated list of wines by the glass.

L'Oursin offers an elevate dining experience in a rather simple and down-to-the-earth space. There is nothing particularly striking about the menu, but all the dishes I tried turned out remarkably good. The attention to details that you can find a Michelin-starred restaurant paired with a creative approach to the menu surpassed my expectations, big time. A note on the black sea bass?was, possibly, the best white fish I tried so far, grilled to perfection, with plenty of juices captured and a tender charred skin. A definite must-go place in Seattle.

Classic French bistro style eatery with the comfortable feel and eats taking on a PNW edge to it. This Seattle classic has been serving great food for years now and finally got around to give it a try. We surveyed the tasting menu, which was good. In retrospect, this was good, but the overall experience may have been better if we tried the a la carte menu. Favorites were the home made tagliatelle with geoduck that was cooked so delicately it was reminiscent of pork belly and paired with capers brown butter and crunchy breadcrumbs to add texture. The combination cod and braised oxtail was so interesting and promising, but fell flat with over cooked cod. The classics charcuterie plate was so good, I could come back for wine and meats any day. Overall a definite must try in Seattle. Will be back for a la carte food and drinks with bar food.

The front of the house was outstanding. The decor manages to emulate the dingy, smoke covered walls of Paris without the smoke smell. The food was well done, but didn't raise the bar compared to Luk which isn't too much further away.

Super bummed because we were excited to finally be able to have a date night and heard great things. We arrived to our reservation to find a nearly empty restaurant where they proceeded to sit us in a corner. With it being so hot we asked if we could be moved to one of many available 2-tops that may have a breeze. Our server proceeded to tell us it wasn't possible because of future reservations. Couldn't we just switch tables with them?was hard not to conclude that our POC status wasn't relevant considering we were the only ones there. The restaurant was only about 50% full the entire duration of our visit as well, including our two adjacent 2-tops.Otherwise the food was fine. Skip the salmon dip stuffed puff pastry, prawns were alright, the ling cod was very bland, but the duck was really good.Food can be off any given day, especially when it's so hot out we understand that kitchen conditions drastically change. I would've given the food another chance if the service experience was good.
