After living in the neighborhood for a few years, my first visit to Lloyd Martin was overdue. Their food was phenomenal, and even more impressive considering they change the menu daily. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable when it came to their food and spirits, and was able to walk me through the process of finding a perfect dish. They offer a quiet ambiance, a sociable bartender, and a beautiful back bar. Definitely recommend for a go to date spot, or simply a wonderful dinner.

Such a relaxing atmosphere, yet so much fanciness at the same time. Delicious food and unique drinks. Very hipster.

If I had only one last meal in Seattle for the rest of my life, it would be here.My husband and I stumbled into LlyodMartin the second day it was open. It has been our favorite restaurant in Seattle since then. We moved to the area from Kansas City, where the farm to table movement has taken hold of the hearts and taste buds of folks. The food we have had at LlyodMartin has also followed the same tenant of fresh, quality ingredient- local when possible. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the food, the drinks, and the thought behind the restaurant. We usually request to sit at the bar, so that we can enjoy the company of Tyler, who will walk you through a cocktail like a master storyteller. The food is superb. For our Valentine’s Day celebration, we dined there. (It is our go to choice for special occasions.) They had morels. MORELS IN FEBRUARY! I’m convinced Sam is a wizard. He also shared the location of the best dandan noodles in Seattle, which has made my husband a super happy camper.Having traveled the world and lived in both France and Italy, the only restaurant I know of that would be a contender for best meal I have ever had is Justus Drugstore, the Restaurant. Batting in that league is the highest praise I know to give.Eat here. Do it. You won't be sad.

I've eaten here twice. I just haven't been able to get there again yer. What the chef, Sam, does here is incredible.its just one room, including the kitchen! It's an extremely small kitchen. Just getting any food out seems like a miracle, but providing the best food in the neighborhood, and a constantly changing gourmet menu, is a big wow. As I said, this is one room. It can serve a good number of people, and you can eat in small groups at the bar, but this place is best designed for parties of 1-3, at the bar, and parties of two at the table. I can't remember but I think there are a couple of tables for parties of four.Note that this place is always packed, so plan in advance or arrive early. Also, they have a great happy hour of gourmet small plates. They only serve dinner and often have amazing special events but you have to reserve for most, I think.

At this small and low-key restaurant menu changes daily based on seasonal ingredients and local specials. We had a great time at dinner here, making a reservation was easy, and food tasted very good. Highly recommend.

You won't believe the incredible food that comes out of the tiny kitchen! Elegant and creative cuisine, but always with some haute comfort food options. Cocktails and wine selection make it worth coming here for the bar alone, but treat yourself to something amazing from Chef Sam. Pick anything-- you can't go wrong! Watch for his market tasting menu in the summer and exciting, playful pop-up reinventions from time to time. The service, food, drink, and overall experience are always stellar. It's probably my favorite restaurant in Seattle!

The only reason I will not give this place 5-stars is the bartender - he ignored us through a three-course meal eaten at the BAR. Luckily, the owner came to our rescue and was polite. The food was great - really imaginative, perfectly prepared, and simply plated. The cocktails and wine were equally well-chosen and priced. I will go here again and again - and only if seated at a proper table. #NoMoreBartender

Used to be our favorite restaurant in the Seattle area. However, on our last visit, the waitress told us we would have to pay extra to share a plate. Bad idea to force a loyal customer to do something that they don't want to do. Eden Hill is our new favorite.

You know. Pricey but I just love their main dishes. To be honest I haven't really had an appetizer here that I fell in love with but everything else is great. You need to make sure you order a cocktail of some kind here. The in house bartender (Sean, I think) creates all of the recipes and even ages his own bourbon.Casual spot. No need for suit and tie.

This was my second time at LM. I had tasting menu with my friend. They offer some rather unique dishes. Most are on the salty side. This can be very subjective... as salty as Pagliacci pepperoni pizza (apologize for this is not the best comparison but hope it helps :P). Except for the truffle soup and the steak, everything else doesn't seem to stand for its price :(. The truffle soup is extraordinary by all means! It is full of flavors. On top of that, chef shaves huge pieces of black truffle generously on your dish. :) Maybe skip the lobster ravioli. I have to warn you about the chocolate coming at the end. They could and probably should offer better chocolate at a restaurant like this.My least favorite part is the service, being treated unfairly by the waitress. I don't know what's her problem, but my guy friend seems to get a lot more attention from the lady who served us. She did check in with me every once a while, but would not smile or look at me. She also turned to my friend before I could finish talking couple times. There were some other details like this. Such experience never happened anywhere else when I go out dining with guy friends. To be fair she did her job, served us food. It just wasn't a pleasure experience at all. The first time here night was kinda ruined because of the service, too. We ended up at Eden Hill which is just 7min walk North. It had a much better vibe, friendlier servers and chef, and great daily-changing menu. I would not come back to LM again. If you come here at all, go for the steak, and perhaps only the steak. Just be aware that there're also places called John Howie Steak House and Eden Hill in Seattle.
