This a very old recipe my grandma used to cook for me when I was staying at her on holidays. Hope you like it.

4 peeled and sliced Smith apples
1 recipe pastry for a 6-inch crust pie
1/2 cup of butter
4 teaspoons of flour
1/8 cup of water
1/4 cup of white sugar
1/4 cup of brown sugar

Step 1Heat the oven to at least 20 degrees Celsius.
Step 2In a saucepan melt the butter.
Step 3Stir in flour in order to form a paste.
Step 4After that, add water, brown and white sugar and boil it.
Step 5In your pan place the bottom crust.
Step 6Fill it with apples, cover with crust and gently pour the sugar and the butter over the crust.
Step 7Bake for 40 minutes or until apples become softer.
