Step 1Cut the pumpkin into halves and remove the seeds and pulp.
Step 2Sprinkle with salt (optional).
Step 3Place in a non-stick cookie sheet with parchment paper side down in a 400°F (200°C) oven for 45-60 mins.
Step 4Remove the flesh from that baked pumpkin and remove any leftover stringy pieces.
Step 5Now puree in a blender.
