I love that this place has been around for so long and that RVA has kept it alive and well. The interior remains original and / or renovated to be a replica of what it was decades ago. That said, the seats are small, close together, and don't have a lot of padding to sit on. Went to see Kountry Wayne's performance and as an added bonus he managed to grab a neighborhood friend open for him. Thank goodness for the bailiffs, they are very helpful in finding your seat quickly.

First time I see a concert in this theater. Acoustics could be better, I think you need a more compatible system or they need to add something to absorb the sound. The volume can be adjusted for better sound. Sound aside, the seats are a bit comfortable for the elderly, but the interior aesthetics are nice.
