Cooper and Seth made our stay amazing. Honestly I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and this stay is the best experience ever!Let's start with the way I was greeted when I checked in. Cooper went out of his way to explain anything and everything we had questions sending us on our way with cookies and drinks. Kindness means everything in today's world. While out in town on a Sunday Seth check up on us make sure we needed anything. So while checking out museums he made sure our room was getting the care we needed.Never been so pampered from the time I checked in to the time I left! Not to mention the metro station is 10 minutes away walking distance! So if you want to explore the DC area this is the place to stay at!

Shak and Clay at the front desk took great care of my family and even went out of their way to appreciate us for being Hilton Honors members. This hotel is very unique and relatively large establishment. It used to feature a rooftop restaurant because of the quality of their views that is now closed. Pool is also closed but used to have a view of the Pentagon. Hopefully these one day return. While it's starting to show it's age in certain areas like the furniture and some finishes, it still offers a lot of value and a positive experience. You can get some really great deals here and stay incredibly close to the city sights or Reagan Airport. I'd recommend their Presidential Suite. They have multiple and all of them have huge balconies and that's very hard to find in the Metro area. Call ahead and book their Presidential Suite on the higher floors and pair it with a connecting King Suite and you literally have over 50 feet in length of private balcony space with 4 chaise lounges and a dining table. That cannot be replicated anywhere.

Had a great experience here. Room was very spacious, clean and organized. Sheets were clean and the bed was cozy. Great lobby area to get some work done. Front desk was really great, Selam was extremely helpful. If I am back in the area I would definitely consider coming back as the hotel is in a very convenient area.

Staff were friendly shoutout to Hasan! He helped me navigate through Washington without a hitch. The hotel gives guests freshly baked cookies. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Definitely had a great experience. The only thing I was a little bummed about was they permanently closed the pool.Just a heads up if you're catching the shuttle to the airport, make sure to leave early enough because the shuttle stops at another hotel to pick people up. Wasn't an issue for me since I left early enough, but that info was never disclosed.

Comfy beds and pillows, staff is nice, love the free cookies, rooms are quiet. Rooms could use a little bit of maintenance as the wall USB ports don't work, fan in bathroom doesn't work, and wand to operate blind is broken so I had to manually close/open. Overall a good place to stay that's not too far of a walk from metro station and also has a free airport shuttle that we used.

We are currently in the hotel. Went to the front desk to request a blanket. Informed there were none currently available at the front desk. Informed someone would deliver a blanket in 45 minutes. It is 1.5 hours later no blanket. Kids are cold. Turned heat up in the room, but still chilly in the room. Put towels on top of the kids to add warmth. Staff have been friendly. However no follow through.

The service at this hotel was great and the staff was really friendly. The rooms though.... they really need to be updated. Our bathroom mirror was broken all along the edges - which is a hazard - and the -King- bed in our suite was definitely a Queen. Our shower didn't drain properly, and since there is no daily housekeeping, that meant we needed to clean our own tub. Good thing I had my Clorox wipes...but I didn't pay the nightly fees to clean my own tub in a hotel suite. Yes, maybe I could've switched rooms but who wants to do that after dragging your luggage to your room and unpacking? The A/C was questionable - you had to turn it down to the mid 60s to get the air up-to-par. Note: this is coming from someone who typically likes the room in the 70s.If you don't care about any of the above and you need a hotel in a great location, then by all means...knock yourself out.

Me and family booked a night here from out of state. Family of 4 with the king suite and pull out couch. First off the pool doesn't exist so don't pack bathing suits nor believe the pictures. We were told it had been out of use for 6 years. In our room on the south tower side we had no air and not to mention we had two toddlers with us. So it wasn't pleasant nor did I sleep good. Parking is ridiculous being $42 a night but I guess your car stays safe right .? The breakfast that we paid for with our reservation was okay not the best breakfast I've had and it kind of bothered my family because waiters tried serving us when we didn't want to be served and bothered us while eating wanting a tip when our food was paid for and it's a buffet. The pull out couch for my oldest toddler was mediocre outdated kinda feeling. I will have to say it was clean more than other hotels I've been to so I give it that and it was close to a lot of attractions. That's about it!

I'm giving this place a once start review primarily because it's overpriced and lack basic hotel amenities. I planned a trip to DC. I wanted to make sure we were staying somewhere nice and safe. Upon arrival, I learned that parking is $42!! Later that night, I called the concierge asking for directions to the pool and there is no pool. The pictures of the pool are Google ads that the hotel can't seem to have removed. The beds are stated as a size full however they are smaller than a king. We haven't had breakfast yet (it's 1:30 a.m), but I'm sure that will be an experience too. Next time I'm in DC, I'll definitely be staying somewhere else. This hotel is overpriced especially because it lacks basic hotel amnesties: Microwave, refrigerator, a pool, free parking, and truthful advertising .

My daughter was graduating from college in the area so I booked a room here. Upon booking the room, I asked was there a pool and was told yes there is an indoor pool. On the website, it states there's a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Upon arrival, there was only a refrigerator but no microwave. My granddaughter wanted to go to the pool so after her, my niece and nephew got dressed, we called the front desk to inquire about the location of the pool and was told that there hadn't been a pool in the past 5 years. I had an event to attend with my daughter so I made a call to the hotel while I was out to ask about the microwave that was suppose to be in the room and was told they would bring me one. Upon returning to the room (picture provided) this is what I was provided. It looks as if they pulled it out of an employee lounge or something with dents all over it. The 2nd night the cable went out and did not come back on (pictures provided). I called the front desk and was told that they had called for repair. For taxes and fees, I was charged the same amount as another night of stay ($466 for 2 nights) (pictures of room provided).I had family in another room, which they did not have any air conditioning. The hotel did have it repaired which worked for a few hours then went back out, however they did have cable the entire stay. Not 1 time did I receive an apology for any of the inconveniences from this hotel staff. I attempted one more time to address all of the inconveniences upon check out. At that time they offered to comp my parking which I didn't have a car there, so I asked that they comp my family with the room that had no air conditioning. They did do that for them. The staff acted as if all issues happen on a regular basis as they are quick to respond without checking any of it out.I would never stay at another Double Tree anything. I do not recommend this hotel under any circumstances.
