My husband wanted to have a unique culinary experience for his birthday and chose Malaga. We had so much fun and our friends truly enjoyed the restaurant. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was amazing. Tapas is really the way to go when you're with big groups because you get to taste a little of everything a restaurant has to offer. Definitely plan on going to Malaga again in the near future.

I am a tapas lover and thought that I would give Malaga a try! The food was hit and miss for me. The tuna and watermelon, fried goat cheese, and pork loin were great, while some other dishes fell a bit short. The service was good and we received a few wine samples while deciding on a bottle before our meal. Overall, it was a good experience, but nothing exceptional.HOWEVER, I am also a brunch lover, and I may have to go back after finding out that Malaga has $3 Bloody Marys during Sunday brunch!

GREAT Happy Hour. They offer the pairing of a cocktail and appetizer for $10. Great deal. The pork belly was my favorite. We went off the happy hour menu and order one tapa. We got the goat cheese and honey. It was delicious. Go early and get a table by the window. Less noisy and a pretty view.

The only place in Austin that i've been able to find authentic Spanish food. You can also get a taste of Spanish culture. Happy hour (5-7p daily) is a great deal, but there's always a special event going on every day of the week. Not a good place to go if you're starving because it's a bit pricey but great dining experience with a fantastic wine list. The fried goat cheese tapas were very rich (in a good way)

Went here with about 15 other people and we all ordered something different. Safe to say, we each tried everything on the menu at least once and all the food was incredible! They put so much effort into each dish, each little bite is flavorful and exciting! Such a fun place to go with friends and sample all kinds of different tapas!

I went to Malaga on an occasion with an unexpected 12+ people looking for a place to have dinner on a Thursday evening. Malaga had seating available for us outside right away so we went for it. The service was very obliging to the large, hungry group and made quick work of getting us drinks and food. The sangria was good, as was the food. There wasn't anything too memorable about the food, but it was good quality tapas at a fair price. I will definitely visit Malaga again.

I went there for happy hour yesterday after not visiting the restaurant in about five years. I was pleasantly surprised by the complexity of the dishes and depth of flavor brought out. I couldn't get enough of the dipping sauces, especially the garlic aioli and the coriander aioli paired with pork kebabs. They don't offer much on the happy hour menu as far as food goes, but they have a good selection of wine at decent prices.

I have been twice and plan to go again. I love taking a date or meeting a friend to share dishes. The portions are smaller - but, I normally order 2-4 different dishes for each person and we mix/match. Service was fine. The food was excellent.

We were very excited to have dinner here after we read the reviews and because we love Spanish food, but man was this a disappointment! We ordered the red wine sangria, it tasted like cheap wine dissolved in water...then we ordered the tapas and got even more disappointed. The beets and roasted carrots salad was the only plate worth mentioning, the rest were sub par quality food. The tortilla espanola was pure Tex Mex! Never again!

The food was delicious and very unique but the portions were incredibly small. Our party of 6 people kept having to order more dishes in order to be satisfied. The prices were expensive (the same price you would pay for an entire meal at a normal restaurant). I would recommend this restaurant for appetizers but not for dining out.
