This means the restaurant is pretty well liked.
I can't say enough about Follow Your Heart. Easily one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the greater Los Angeles area, it offers just about everything a vegetarian (or vegan) could want in a great local restaurant. I tend to describe the place as 'Veggie Comfort Food', which may not be entirely accurate- there are plenty of offerings that go beyond Mac & Cheese and faux-meat loaf. But the food is so good that it doesn't really matter whether you're eating one of the pastas or a curry- you'll find it wonderfully satisfying.
Where FYH really excels is in its variety. Not content to offer veggie wraps and salads, they truly focus on offering a broad range of options. Their breakfasts are great, with all the traditional favourites, but to really get the full experience, go for lunch or dinner. The portions are sizable (you'll need a to-go box) and there's something for everyone. Personal recommendations? Any of their sandwiches (the reuben, the club, and the melted cheese), the spanakopita, spinach lasagne, zorro burrito, and nachos are all guaranteed winners. The curry can be a little hit or miss, but when it's great, it's great. I wasn't fond of the red sauce they use on their pizzas. Maybe better to choose something else.
But seriously, check out their menu, and then make a visit. You won't regret it.
- Tandoori Curry : great ($12)
- Nachos : BEST NACHOS EVER ($7)
- Zorro Burrito : ridiculously large, but delicious ($12)
