I think how much you love your city's zoo is probably a reflection of how often you went there as a kid. I went there all the time as a kid, and I don't think I could love this zoo more, even though it was built by Coleridge's. Kubla Khan. Yes, this is not the Flora Rooftop Bar and Lounge. Challenge yourself now - this zoo is fantastic and perfect the way it is! The remodel has given the zoo a sleek new entrance, and while they do charge for parking (Boo! Just park in Sloat for free), it's easier for people with strollers or wheelchairs than the entrance steep old hill.

Nice large zoo with many types of animals to see. Parking is generally awful on weekends, but they do offer valet parking which makes the wait tolerable. Great place to bring kids and if you want something fun to do on the weekends I highly recommend you come to the zoo.

I haven't been here since I was in elementary school! It is a very beautiful place! It has changed a lot since I was young. I took my two nieces on a sunny day. There was a long line to get in, but it moved quickly. It wasn't too crowded and there was plenty of shade from the sun. Okay, food sandwiches. My new favorite addition was the new playground! This thing was huge! It certainly wasn't there when I was a kid. Highly recommended. But grab some snacks if you go.

Large Zoo Lots of animals to see and a fun, easy hike for all of the family. Good size place, not too big to see in a day, but certainly not too small, there is so much to see and do. I don't know what complainers expect from a zoo, but I found it very enjoyable. Decent food too! Best of all: The animal habitats were some of the largest and most comfortable I have ever seen.

Very happy with my overall experience. There are a lot of renovated neighborhoods since I came here two years ago. I also love that this zoo is full of rescued animals. All the staff were very friendly and willing to stop by to provide additional information on the wildlife. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. If I lived closer I would come here every week. Keep up the good work! I can not wait to return to !!
