This middle to upper class establishment is located in the historic part of edwardsville, close to the the court house and historic stlouis street. If you like small intimate places you will fit right in here. You never know just what kind of people you can meet, but you can be assured that they have deep pockets, for the bottles of wine are very good vintage.
Cleopatra's used to be in the Design Center, now it is next to the new Regal 14 movie theaters which is a better location. It is handy for a quick bite before or after a movie but I probably wouldn't recommend it as a destination restaurant. The food is acceptable but not great, certainly not inspired Mid-East food, which, if you love middle eastern food and cook it at home yourself, you will be unimpressed. One good thing though, it that you can get a decent vegetarian plate. The tabboleh is pretty good but not enough of it. Service is pretty quick, even when they are busy.
