- 12 ozroast beef, thinly sliced
- 1 loafbaguette
- 1 mediumyellow onion, thinly sliced
- 4 ozSwiss cheese, thinly sliced
- 2 cupsbeef broth, low sodium
- 1 clovegarlic, smashed
- 1 tspWorcestershire sauce
- 1 tbspbutter
- 1 tbspolive oil

Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 375°F. Halve the baguette lengthwise and set aside.
- 2Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium. Add onions and a pinch of salt; cook 10-12 minutes until deeply caramelized, stirring occasionally.
- 3Add smashed garlic to the onions; cook 1 minute until fragrant. Transfer onions to a plate.
- 4Pour beef broth and Worcestershire into the same skillet; bring to a gentle simmer and keep hot for au jus.
- 5Lay bottom halves of baguette on a sheet pan; layer roast beef, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese. Top with baguette tops.
- 6Bake 5-6 minutes until cheese melts. Slice each sandwich into two servings.
- 7Strain au jus into small bowls; season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 8Serve sandwiches warm with hot au jus for dipping.
