The reviews for Chart House Waikiki are generally positive, with many diners praising the restaurant's views, atmosphere, and service. Some reviewers have noted that the food can be hit or miss, with some dishes being excellent and others falling short of expectations.
One reviewer wrote, "Late night happy hour is amazing. Great service at the bar. Attentive and informative bartenders. Excellent food. Fried fish special recommended! Tofu poke was great. $5 beers n shots on special when we went in. Owned by surfer legend."
Another reviewer said, "This restaurant has a large bar area and a separate dining area. We arrived at 6:15pm on a Monday without reservations and were seated within 5 minutes. The menu selection is very good but the bar/appetizer menu is larger. There more people in the bar than the restaurant. We were told to pick a table and we sat in the bar area (not knowing there was a difference). The service was good and the food was great! The Sea Bass was amazing but a little pricey at $63.00. The location is slightly hidden (not on Ala Moana) but there are signs. Worth checking out!"
A third reviewer had a mixed experience, saying, "The place is ok for sunset, you still have all the boats in front of you. Food is horrible though, good quality fish, but not worth the price, plus the mix with all spices and mayo just ruins it. We also ordered chicken wings and had to return them, purely tasting like butter and bread, do not recommend. Ribs came in replacement and were at least decent, still lacking tenderness and flavour. This place is good for DRINKS, not more than that."
Overall, Chart House Waikiki is a great spot for those looking for a laid-back dining experience with great views. While the food can be hit or miss, the atmosphere and service make it a worthwhile destination. With its convenient location near several interesting landmarks, Chart House Waikiki is definitely worth checking out.
