Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz)sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbspunsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbspunsalted butter
  • 1 cupchocolate sprinkles (for rolling)
  • 1 pinchsalt

Instructions

    In a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan combine condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter.

    Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly with a heatproof spatula for 8–10 minutes until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the bottom and sides of the pan.

    Remove from heat, stir in the pinch of salt, and let the mixture cool to room temperature.

    Lightly butter your hands and roll cooled mixture into 1-inch balls (makes approximately 20).

    Roll each ball in chocolate sprinkles until fully coated.

    Place brigadeiros in mini paper cups or on parchment paper and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
