  • 1 lbcalamari, cleaned and sliced into rings
  • 1 cupall-purpose flour
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 0.5 tspblack pepper
  • 0.5 tsppaprika
  • 2large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cupsvegetable oil, for frying

    In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.

    In another shallow dish, place the beaten eggs.

    Dip each calamari ring in the egg, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.

    Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 375°F (190°C).

    Fry the calamari in batches for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
