- 1 lbcalamari, cleaned and sliced into rings
- 1 cupall-purpose flour
- 1 tspsalt
- 0.5 tspblack pepper
- 0.5 tsppaprika
- 2large eggs, beaten
- 2 cupsvegetable oil, for frying
Recipe serves 4 people
Instructions
- 1In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- 2In another shallow dish, place the beaten eggs.
- 3Dip each calamari ring in the egg, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
- 4Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 375°F (190°C).
- 5Fry the calamari in batches for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- 6Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 7Serve immediately with marinara sauce and lemon wedges.
