- 2 canscannellini beans, drained
- 3 tbspextra-virgin olive oil
- 2 clovesgarlic, smashed

- 1 cupcrushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cupwater or vegetable broth

- 1/4 tspblack pepper
Recipe serves 4 people
Instructions
- 1Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- 2Add smashed garlic and sage leaves; cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
- 3Fold in drained cannellini beans, stirring gently to coat with the flavored oil.
- 4Pour in crushed tomatoes and water; season with salt and pepper.
- 5Bring to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook 15 minutes so flavors meld and sauce thickens.
- 6Taste and adjust seasoning; remove garlic if desired. Serve warm with crusty bread.
